Commuters make up a large, diverse segment of the College community; therefore, the goal of the Student Affairs Staff is to provide resources, services, and programs that enhance the experience of all commuters.
Commuter students now have the opportunity to become involved in college life to the full extent gaining leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as team playing ability. We hope you will become involved today! Contact the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership located in the upper level of Cosgrave Center for more information.
LUNCH DISCOUNTS
Commuters are welcome to use Cosgrave Center Dining Hall for all meals. Menus and prices are posted outside the entrance. A weekly ticket may be purchased in the dining hall. A commuter block meal plan is also available. The salad bar alone makes the ticket a real bargain.
OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATIONS
Commuters may spend up to five (5) nights per month with a resident without charge. The Residence Life Staff may approve overnight accommodations of the same sex. Arrangements t must be made in the Residence Life Office located on the Ground Floor of Ihmsen Hall between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Check-in and check-out must also occur during these hours.
Forms for car and overnight guest forms must be completed and returned to both the security and residence life offices before 10:00 p.m. on the night(s) of the stay.
VENDING SERVICES
Vending machines are located throughout the campus. Refunds may be obtained by contacting the Controller's Office located in the Main Building Room 122.
COSGRAVE STUDENT CENTER RECREATIONAL CENTER
The Student Activities Recreational Center, located in the lower level of Cosgrave Center, is a popular outlet for students to socialize and relax between classes. The center is equipped with a pool table, a ping-pong table, a foosball table, a shuffle board table, board games, a television, and a VCR. It is one of the College's more popular "hang outs" for students.
PHYSICAL FITNESS CENTER
The Physical Fitness Center in the "hub" of campus offers a cardiovascular room, nautilus weight machine room, and an all-purpose aerobic/dance room with shower and lockable locker facilities.
Students will be required to submit photo identification when using the recreational and physical fitness centers. Students using the facilities should request a key from the desk to lock items while working out.
LOUNGE
Additional study and lounge areas in both the lower and the upper level of Cosgrave Center are available for student use when no other College functions are being held.
