Campus Sex Crime Prevention Act

The campus Safety & Security Department is in compliance with the Crimes against Children and Sexually Violent Offender Act (Campus Sex Crimes Prevention Act) effective October 28, 2002. The Safety & Security Department maintains a registry of all sexual predators, as defined by law, who are employed by, or are students at the College. Upon receipt of notification by the Pennsylvania State Police of a sexual predator within the campus community his/her name is maintained in the registry. This registry is available for public inspection at the Safety & Security Department office.
The Campus Sex Crimes Prevention Act requires institutions to notify employees and students on where they can go to obtain the state information on individuals who may be employed or enrolled on campus that have been convicted of a criminal offense against a minor or convicted of a sexually violent offense.
