Academic Programs through the Office of Graduate and Continuing Education (GCE)

The Mount Aloysius College Office of GCE offers online Certificate Programs in Business, Finance, Medical Coding and Criminal Justice Addictions, along with Associate of Science degrees in Business, Early Childhood, Radiography (Dubois Location) and Medical Laboratory Technician (Dubois Location).

Individuals with prior college-level course work may be eligible for the accelerated degree completion program towards a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration or Nursing (RN-BSN).

GCE also offers programs in cooperation with the Greater Altoona Career and Technical Center (GACTC), the Johnstown Career and Technical Center, and secondary school districts.

Most recently, a full-time Extended Functions of a Dental Assistant (EFDA) certificate program, leading to an associate degree is now being offered as a partnership between the GACTC and Mount Aloysius College.  After completion of the required course work, lab hours, and clinic hours, each student will receive a diploma from the GACTC and be eligible to matriculate to MAC into an Associate of Science in Applied Technology degree.  Students will then be eligible to sit for the PA State Board of Denistry's EFDA certification exam.

For those students who already hold a bachelor's degree and who are committed to life long learning, Mount Aloysius College offers Graduate Programs.

The academic programs offered through the GCE prepares students for a chosen career while providing an opportunity to experience the arts, the sciences, and the humanities. The College's distributive core of courses ensures that every Mount Aloysius student has a basic body of knowledge in preparation either for a career or for further education.
