Brian has been a registered nurse since 1995, when he graduated originally from Harrisburg Area Community College with an Associate’s of the Arts in Nursing degree. Subsequently, Brian received both his Baccalaureate’s of Science in Nursing and Masters of Science in Nursing degrees from University of Phoenix. Throughout his career, Brian has worked in several disciplines of nursing, including emergency nursing, rehabilitation nursing, and medical-surgical nursing and has been a staff nurse, charge nurse, shift supervisor, and clinical coordinator. Brian holds a certification as a certified stroke nurse and continues to practice nursing, working as a clinical coordinator of the Stroke and Neurological Unit at Conemaugh Hospital in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. As full-time faculty at Mount Aloysius College, Brian teaches Adult Nursing I in the first level of the Associate’s Degree program and likes to engage his students in the classroom. In his personal life, Brian likes serving as a youth pastor, bringing his spiritual perspective into his classroom instruction of holistic nursing; enjoys participating in recreational and competitive running, completing several marathons; and loves camping at his cabin in Cook Forest. Brian has been married since 1992 and has two sons.
