Marisa is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania (LPC). She is also certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NCC) and a Distance Credentialed Counselor (DCC).
She received her bachelor degree in Communication from the University of Pittsburgh and her master degree in Community Counseling from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Additionally, she is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), and the Association on Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD).
She has over 9 years of experience in the counseling field conducting individual, group, crisis, military and couples counseling in outpatient, elementary, secondary and college level settings. Her specialty area is related to grief and loss. She also has an established private counseling practice.
Counselor Fun Facts: Marisa has traveled to 14 countries, enjoys astronomy, blues music, hiking, biking, reading, playing sports, photography, writing and spending time with family.
