Ms. Nicole Custer is nursing faculty member who teaches in both the Associate Degree and RN-BSN programs. Ms. Custer is no stranger to Mount Aloysius College, having earned an Associate Degree in Nursing as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mount Aloysius. She earned a Master of Science in Nursing Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Ms. Custer has an extensive background in critical care nursing as well as the care of cardiac surgical patients in the immediate post-operative period. She practiced as a staff nurse at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center’s Intensive and Coronary Care Unit prior to teaching at Mount Aloysius and holds certifications in the specialty areas of critical care nursing (CCRN) and cardiac surgery nursing (CSC).
Ms. Custer is a PhD in Nursing Education candidate at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Her research interests include pedagogical methods, remediation, student assistance programs, and student-faculty interaction.
