Cresson, Pa. – Mount Aloysius College will present “FAFSA Completion Night” on Monday evening, February 24th at 6:00 P.M. FAFSA is an acronym for “Free Application for Federal Student Aid.” The event will be held in the Main Building on the Mount Aloysius Campus, Room #229. The Mount Aloysius FAFSA Completion night is a “must do” for parents planning to seek financial aid for a student this year. In addition to the Mount Aloysius Financial Aid staff, representatives from the regional Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) will be available to answer questions related to the PHEAA state grant program.
Mount Aloysius President Tom Foley noted that keeping college affordable is central to the mission of the school. “Right now 94 percent of our students receive some form of financial aid,” he said. “With so many Mount Aloysius students representing the first generation of their family to attend college, we know how critical financial aid can be to achieving that dream. FAFSA Night is time well spent. It is open to anyone in the region with questions about financial aid.”
Mr. Frank Crouse, vice president for enrollment management at Mount Aloysius urged anyone seeking financial aid for college to attend. “Our program puts participants in touch with financial aid experts,” he said. “Anyone can attend. There will be plenty of time to ask questions. We do advise anyone attending to file their income taxes early,” he said. “Once you attend FAFSA Night, you will rest assured that you will have filed your FAFSA information correctly,” added Mr. Crouse.
