Cresson, Pa. – Mount Aloysius College has announced their First Annual College Fair.  The event, slated for Monday, March 31st at 6:00 p.m., will be held in the College’s new 87,000 square foot Athletic Convocation and Wellness Center.  So far 43 colleges are participating in this regional event.  Over 100 regional high schools are invited.  Prospective students are encouraged to bring their parents to the Fair. Parking is free and plentiful.

Mount Aloysius President Tom Foley noted that this College Fair provides an excellent opportunity for high school students to meet representatives from colleges and universities from throughout the state and beyond.  “This First Annual College Fair will enable students and their parents to establish contacts with representatives from some fine schools.” he said.

Frank Crouse, vice president for enrollment management offered advice to students and parent when looking at colleges. “We recommend that attendees really consider what they want in a college experience, develop a list of questions prior to participating, and gather as much information about these colleges as they can.  Attending a College Fair such as this is a great first-step in making a move toward getting a great education and creating your future,” said Crouse.

Noting that the event will be a first for Mount Aloysius College, Crouse added, “We felt that our new Athletic Convocation and Wellness Center would be ideal for this event,” he said.  “We are centrally located in the region and very accessible from major Interstates and Route 22.  The facility is spacious and comfortable so students and their families can make the most of the opportunity to meet regional college representatives, ask questions and gather needed information.  We’re all very proud of this facility and pleased to share it with the community.”
