Cresson, Pa. — Mount Aloysius College’s elite vocal ensemble, Vox Nova, will perform its first concert of the school year on September 28th in the College’s Chapel. The concert will begin at 7:00 p.m. and all students, faculty and community members are invited to attend.

Attendees will be treated to an evening with composer Richard Rodgers.  “Bewitched,” “You’ll Never Walk Alone,” “My Funny Valentine” and “The Sound of Music” are just a few of the most recognizable songs of the Broadway repertoire from the creative genius of Richard Rodgers.  He had a gift for melody that is not often surpassed on the stage.  Rodgers’ longest collaborations were with lyricists Lorenz Hart and Oscar Hammerstein III.  Each created verses of such distinction that it greatly influenced Rodgers’ style of composition.  Listeners will hear works from each musical duo and hear the influence of both lyricists.  The entertainment, familiarity, and quality of these songs will make for a great entertaining experience.

General admission is $5 but is free to all area students, faculty, and staff of Mount Aloysius College.   For additional information call 814-886-6495.
