- Mock-Interviews: One-on-one interview practice to build confidence and improve interview skills. For further information about the February 5th Mock Interview Fair, contact Kim Franey at kfraney@mtaloy.edu.
- Job/Internship Fairs: A complete calendar of on- and off-campus recruiting events is available each Fall and Spring semester. Fair events provide students the opportunity to meet employers, distribute resumes, and schedule interviews. (Transportation is provided based upon student interest).
- Computer Assisted Career Planning Software: “Focus 2”, and “Myers- Briggs,” are licensed programs designed to assist students who are unsure of academic majors and career plans by assessing interests, aptitude, and personality type, as well as providing specific career descriptions, salary ranges, job outlook and educational requirements.
- Internet Access: Job searching, career exploration and all career related information available.
- Free Career Planning Literature: Handouts on resume/cover letter writing, interview skills, professional image, job searching information, and 'what can I do with this major?'.
- Career Center Library: Students may check out books of pertinent career planning topics and use reference guides for occupational information, internship opportunities, graduate schools and many other areas.
- Employer/Internship Directory: Free college publication listing job information and contact persons of regional employers who accept resumes of Mount Aloysius graduates.
- Internship information: Local, regional and national level internship information is provided for securing the hands on experience that employers seek in employees. Internships.com is an excellent resource.
- College Central: This online network offers tools that link employers with prospective job candidates through college-based Career Centers. Students can upload resumes to the website, review job listings posted each month, view opportunities for internships and service learning, as well as announcements posted for campus and community events.
- Graduate School Information: Learn about graduate school opportunities at Mount Aloysius College and schools around the country. Testing and application materials are available.
