The Mount Aloysius College Career Services “Roadmap to Success” offers a great way for MAC students to successfully manage their own career development. As you’ll see in the Roadmap brochure available at the Career Center, each year of college has a major theme that explains what you need to do to stay on “track” with your career development for that year. Each yearly theme, Engage, Explore, Experience and Emerge, has a suggested action plan to go with it that will help you take the proper steps to prepare for the career you desire with the guidance of a career counselor. Take the self directed skills,interest, and personality type assessment surveys available in the career center to identify the best major and career for you. Improve your self-confidence and communication skills through participation in practice mock-interview sessions and resume/cover letter writing instruction. Learn about hands-on work experience available through many exciting internship programs and how to build the best resume credentials with leadership and co-curricular involvement.
The Career Services Center can guide you through the entire career planning process right up to the all important job search. Students will have the chance to network with employers from a wide variety of career fields by attending a multitude of job/internship fairs.
