Welcome to Orientation

MAC the Mountie   Take Root: Let the Growing Begin

The mission of this comprehensive orientation program is to assist new students in making a successful transition, academically and socially, into the College community of learners by engaging them in the culture of the College through the promotion of the fundamental values of Mount Aloysius College including justice, hospitality, mercy, service, and leadership. The College understands families are of central importance to new students; as such, the orientation mission also emphasizes the need to educate parents and families about the Mount Aloysius community and seeks to facilitate the development of an appropriate relationship between family members and College constituents. At Mount Aloysius, orientation also provides an opportunity for current students to engage in leadership, community building, and character development through involvement in the Orientation Leader Program. Orientation Leaders effectively work closely with new students to educate them about the College and act as valuable resources for new students from the time they matriculate through the first semester.
