Eco-Adventures Camp

Each day students will gain knowledge of earth-friendly vocabulary and discuss ways to keep our planet healthy. They will do fun, hands-on, reduce-reuse-recycle projects that are made from the “garbage” around them.

About the instructor: Kim Baker graduated with honors from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown with a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She received a Master’s degree in elementary education from Saint Francis University. Kim’s twelve-year teaching career has been spent in the Penn Cambria School District, teaching 2nd and 3rd grade. She looks forward to teaching the next generation that reducing, reusing and recycling can be fun!

Note: Weather permitting, students will be outside for much of this adventure. This is a hands-on, creative class in which participants will make take-home projects and get their hands dirty. Be sure to dress to make a mess!
