DSME Follow-Up
A pilot study will be conducted to test the effectiveness of an innovative strategy for reinforcement and retention of information provided for patients during Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME) classes. The follow-up strategy will utilize computer-generated messaging instead of interaction with a Certified Diabetes Educator.

Diabetes Education in Schools
This project is motivated by state-mandated requirements for schools to provide care for students with diabetes. Strategies for educating school nurses/designated personnel regarding diabetes care for high school students will be developed and evaluated.
