The purpose of this study was to describe the effects of an innovative assignment in four nursing programs by evaluating students' perceptions of their experience, group work, and teacher role.  An attempt will be made to answer the following research questions:
  • Does an innovative learning assignment have an effect on nursing students' level of satisfaction with the learning experience?
  • Does innovative assignment have an effect on students' perception of their learning?
  • Does an innovative assignment have an effect on student abilities and interest in working in groups?
  • Does an innovative assignment effect the students' perception of the teacher role?
