The evaluation approaches include both quantitative and qualitative analyses. The quantitative analysis tool was the Virtual Clinical Practicum Attitude Survey completed by students and faculty before and after the VCP to assess their perceptions of telehealth technology as a venue for a clinical experience. Qualitative analysis consisted of post-experience, open-ended, semi-structured surveys completed by students after the VCP, which provided data to compare the VCP experience with an onsite clinical experience. In addition, individual interviews were conducted with the military nurse preceptors as well as nursing faculty at Mount Aloysius College to assess the level of satisfaction of the VCP compared to an actual clinical rotation with regards to the technical and educational processes.

Results included both quantatative and qualitative data analysis.
