The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine is a private, not-for-profit organization authorized by Congress to support military medical research and education at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) and through military medicine. The Foundation provides extensive scientific and research project management services to USUHS and the military healthcare community around the world. Projects are funded by grants and contracts from government and non-government sponsors, as well as by gifts from corporate and individual contributors. HJF has been instrumental in supporting the NTAI with a full range of services including recruitment of personnel, negotiating and developing budgets, developing study collaborations and agreements, and the procurement of equipment and supplies.
