The U.S. Military component involves the transfer of lessons learned that are applicable to the military healthcare delivery system as well as education and training requirements. Because of the focus on military health provider training needs for individuals in various geographic areas, as well as the need for on-demand telehealth consultation, the NTAI serves as a test bed to improve patient care of new and innovative technology applications that have dual purpose -- to improve nursing education, and to offer new and innovative approaches to enhanced learning experiences offered at a distance using advanced technologies. Dissemination of lessons learned in the NTAI will occur with the U.S. Military and with other Schools of Nursing in the U.S. and Allied Countries via the web.
