Project objectives include the following:

1. design and conduct clinical trials to evaluate telehealth delivered care for chronic diseases.
2. develop a patient-centric, virtual, clinical information environment that allows students to use telehealth technologies and to gain proficiency in practicing in an IT-driven health care system that incorporates decision-support and care management tools within an evidence-based practice infrastructure.
3. develop, implement, and evaluate other innovative learning strategies as an adjunct to the nursing education curriculum.
4. disseminate and transfer lessons learned to military healthcare and education systems as well as other medical and learning institutions.
