The Mount Aloysius Telehealth Certificate Program prepares individuals to become competent in the delivery of health care using telehealth tools. Using foundations from information science, telecommunications, business, and health care, students will study the role of telehealth applications in the delivery of health care. The Telehealth Certificate Program is a 12-hour, baccalaureate level program offered through the Mount Aloysius College Department of Nursing and The Center for Lifelong Learning. Following completion of the certificate program, learners are prepared to take leadership roles in activities related to the design, delivery, evaluation, administration, teaching, or research of telehealth care.
The Certificate Program is designed for students and professionals in Allied Health, Administrative, and clinical fields in healthcare. Students who wish to attend must have a minimum of 60 college credits and be pursuing a health or health-support field OR must have permission from their advisor to attend. Post-baccalaureate individuals can register with proof of licensure. Individual courses may be taken as electives (for students) or for continuing education (for professional nurses), or as orientation for telehealth staff. The entire program must be completed in order to achieve a Telehealth Certificate.
