Theme: Sustainability

Level: Organizational

Abstract: Modern leadership theory requires us to think about our organizations in a completely new way. A new way that will not only motivate but also unite individuals to a common purpose based on a set of shared values. By implementing this "new way", organizations will realize a greater capacity in which to achieve goals and perpetuate their services to their respective communities. This program will challenge participants to evaluate, most critically, their organization's sustainability through such concepts as harnessing the potential of the "Leadership Cycle", assessing their personal and organizational "Leadership Capacity", and developing a strategic "Leadership Pipeline".

Audience: Participants should include students in leadership positions that are encountering difficulties in the recruitment/retention of members and/or establishing/achieving organizational goals.

Objectives: The Learning Objectives of the presentation are:

  • Identifying of personal values
  • Understanding of the servant-leadership theory
  • Appreciating diversity and individuality
  • Developing community through commonality
