Students are invited to participate in this program as they apply to the college and meet the requirements. The Mercy Presidential Scholarship at Mount Aloysius College is designed to enhance and bring student leadership to the college. Candidates must demonstrate a solid academic record, commitment to home, school, and community. They must also possess leadership abilities, participation in extra-curricular activities, volunteer, and be involved in community service projects.

Requirements for this program:

• Minimum of a 1100 old scale/1530 new SAT or 23 ACT
• 3.3 QPA
• Students must be applying to a four-year program
• Live on campus

Once invited to participate, students must complete an application and essay. Students must also participate in an interview with the Mercy Presidential Scholarship committee. The deadline for participation is February 1.

This award is offered to approximately 30 new first year students each fall. The Mercy Presidential Scholarship is worth $10,000 each academic year, for a total of 4 years worth of $40,000. In order to maintain the scholarship, students must meet QPA requirements and increase the quality of student life on campus.
