Brian has been a registered nurse since 1995, when he graduated originally from Harrisburg Area Community College with an Associates of the Arts in Nursing degree. Subsequently, Brian received both his Baccalaureate’s of Science in Nursing and Masters of Science in Nursing degrees from University of Phoenix. Throughout his career, Brian has worked in several disciplines of nursing, including emergency nursing, rehabilitation nursing, and medical-surgical nursing and has been a staff nurse, charge nurse, shift supervisor, and clinical coordinator. Brian holds a certification as a certified stroke nurse and continues to practice nursing, working as a registered nurse at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown, Pennsylvania on both the Stroke & Neurological Unit and in the Cardiac Diagnostic Center.
As full-time faculty at Mount Aloysius College, Brian teaches Nursing Pharmacology presently and has taught Adult Nursing I (Fundamentals), Adult Nursing II (Chronic Disease), Adult Nursing III (Acute Nursing), and Mental Health Nursing in the past. Brian likes to engage his students in the classroom and tries to create a fun and interactive learning environment.
In his personal life, Brian likes serving as a youth pastor, bringing his spiritual perspective into his classroom instruction of holistic nursing; enjoys participating in recreational and competitive running, completing several marathons; and loves camping at his cabin in Cook Forest. Brian recently got remarried in 2019 and has three sons and one daughter. Brian also has a two dogs- a rottweiler and an English bulldog.
