Dr. Donald Talbot is Professor of English and Fine Arts and Visual Arts Program Coordinator. After completing undergraduate and graduate degrees in humanities and English, Dr. Talbot taught secondary English for 16 years before returning to school at “mid-life” to refocus on the visual arts and leadership studies. A two-year degree in Professional Crafts from Haywood Community College in N.C. led to graduate studies in art at The University of Cincinnati culminating in doctoral studies at Indiana University of PA where he explored in his dissertation how leader vision and organizational storytelling impact an organization that is undergoing radical change. He recently completed a CAGS in Expressive and Creative Arts at Salve Regina University. His art work has been featured in Fiberarts Design Book 6 and Book 7 and has been seen in shows and galleries across the United States. Dr. Talbot resides in Altoona and maintains a seasonal studio (Atelier 9) in Lisbon Falls, Maine.
