Dr. John Whitlock is an Associate Professor and Coordinator of Anatomy and Physiology in the Biology Department at Mount Aloysius College and a Research Associate at Carnegie Museum of Natural History. His research focuses on the relationships and ecology of dinosaurs, particularly the gigantic four-legged, long-necked sauropod dinosaurs. This work has taken Dr. Whitlock to Argentina, Canada, France, Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom as well as extensive travels through the United States. He and his students are currently working on projects involving the growth and feeding behavior of dinosaurs from Colorado, Utah and southern Argentina.
Dr. Whitlock holds a B.Sc. in Wildlife Ecology from Michigan State University, and both an M.Sc. in Evolutionary Biology and a Ph.D. in Paleontology from the University of Michigan. He and his family moved to central Pennsylvania from Vancouver, British Columbia.
