My name is Sue Clark and I have been a nursing instructor for Mount Aloysius since 2011. I started in 2011 teaching clinical part-time at Mount Aloysius College and most recently obtained a full-time position teaching both clinical and on campus. I am proud to say that I am also a Mount Aloysius College Alumni. I obtained my ADN from Mount Aloysius College in 1992 and earned my BSN from Penn State University. I most recently obtained my Master’s Degree in Nursing Education from Walden University in 2013.
I have been a Registered Nurse for 21 years, and have worked at Altoona Hospital since I graduated with my Associate Degree. I have most recently been working in Surgical Progressive Care for the past several years. I hold certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Nurse (ATCN), and have my NIH stroke scale certification.
For years I have dreamed of taking my knowledge of frontline nursing and becoming a full time faculty teacher. I have a passion for teaching and plan to use my education and experience to make a positive impact on future nurses in health care. If I’m not on campus you can usually find me enjoying life with my family.
My husband and I are happily married going on 21 years and live in Hollidaysburg. We have three beautiful daughters that we are so proud of. Our 19 year old is a Psychology major at Mount Aloysius College and our 18 year old is planning to attend the Mount in the near future. Our youngest is 12 years old and is happy playing softball and taking care of her animals.
