Succeed in Your Studies with Tutoring

Do you need help in one of your classes? Are you struggling with your major? Mount Aloysius College offers three options for tutoring for all students: peer tutoring, professional tutoring, and supplemental instruction. All forms of tutoring are free for students. If you believe tutoring could help you succeed, check out the options below.

Tutor and Student at a Desk in the Library

We offer three professional tutors (Cara Tomallo, Nursing and the sciences; Anne Volk, math, religion, psychology, and test anxiety; and Dr. Chris Burlingame, writing and study skills), a team of peer tutors, a peer writing center, and Supplemental Instruction Leaders (SILs).

Due to the College’s response to COVID-19, some of these services may look different; however, they will all be offered in some capacity this semester. We ask that students be patient while we get everybody trained to accommodate their needs with the ever-changing circumstances.

Watch this video on scheduling an appointment and/or review these instructions for how to schedule an appointment.

Students are also encouraged to stop into the Learning Commons to meet with us or to email us directly with any questions.

Welcome back to campus! We can’t wait to be a part of your success!
