Mount Aloysius College encourages you to study abroad for a semester, year, or short-term program in preparation for working and living in an interdependent world. You will find that foreign study enhances your education immensely. The “culture shock” of leaving a familiar environment and the “reverse culture shock” of re-entry will teach you new skills and new ways of learning. Furthermore, employers and graduate schools look for people who have the skills that are sharpened by study abroad, such as independence, flexibility and broad-mindedness.
