Federal Work-Study offers an excellent opportunity to not only gain extra money for college related expenses, but valuable work experience. All Federal Work-Study positions, both on-campus work-study and off-campus work-study, require the student to apply and complete employment forms.  When awarded, students are instructed how to start the process of looking for a job. It is to your advantage to select a work-study site as soon as possible. Only apply for one job.  Work sites can fill up quickly, and waiting longer to complete your application may limit your work-study job choices. If a site that you wish to work at is not listed on our jobs page, please contact the Financial Aid Office as we may be able to make arrangements to include it as a site.

****Do not apply for a job if you do not have an award letter listing Federal Work-Study as an aid source.  Your application will be declined.   Contact the Financial Aid Office to check if you could be eligible.

Work-Study Requirements

FWS students are paid $10.00 per hour and students choosing to work for the Physical Plant Department (Maintenance & Housekeeping) are paid $11.50 per hour.

Important: If you are awarded work-study and want to participate, please follow the instructions included with your aid offer to apply for a job as soon as possible. Work-study sites fill quickly and you may jeopardize the chance to work at the office or department you wish to work by waiting too long.  The work-study employment process must be completed by the student by June 30th each year.  If you do not apply for a job and complete your online employment forms by that date, your work-study will be canceled.

Note: Each new student participating in the Federal Work-Study Program is asked to attend a Federal Work-Study seminar.  Those students required to attend are notified by mail and via their FWS supervisor.
