The position of Student Assistant, Education Department, involves student workers engaging in the following tasks: copying, filing, errands, printing, typing, binding, greeting visitors in a professional manner, answering the phone and taking messages, collecting and distributing faculty mail and packages, obtaining faculty supplies at the Support Center, general online and library research, assisting with the maintenance of the department bulletin boards, data entry, assisting faculty with organization of instructional resources, assisting with departmental event planning (advisory board meetings, department meetings, portfolio presentations, open house events, accepted student day events, etc.), editing/reviewing documents/programs, creating and editing Department of Education social media posts, assisting with the creation of a departmental newsletter, and other duties as assigned.  The job is to assist with the daily operations of the department.  Errands could involve going to the library, campus bookstore or other departments/offices across campus.   Virtual or in person interview is required with Department Chair.
