Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Mr. Frank Sankey’s career in education began as a substitute teacher at the Rochester School for the Deaf in 1999. After earning his Master of Science in Education degree, he served as a long-term substitute teacher with the Allegheny Intermediate Unit (AIU3), as well as the Capital Area Intermediate Unit. In 2009, Mr. Sankey began working at Monroe County Community College teaching American Sign Language (ASL), before moving on to SUNY Brockport to teach ASL. In 2013, he continued on to teach ASL at University of Pittsburgh, as well as Westmoreland County Community College. In 2016, Mr. Sankey assumed the role of Assistant Professor of American Sign Language/English Interpreting at Mount Aloysius College
