The elevation of Mount Aloysius College is higher than any college in Pennsylvania (2,100 feet). While factually accurate, it also means much more! The Mount is committed to unmatched support for our students elevating many aspects of the student experience on campus and in the community.

On May 1, 2023, we are celebrating our second annual “Day of Giving,” which aims to elevate our students’ college experience through the support of the Mount Aloysius Annual Fund.

Every gift will provide Annual Scholarships for our students.

Our Goal: 100 donors in 24 hours to support current Mounties

They are OUR WHY!

Nate, Marketing

Nate is a leader on campus as Mercy Presidential Scholar, a member of the men’s golf team, and President of the Business Club. He also found time to start his own online clothing business, Acorn Hills Clothing Company, in 2022. With his motto, “Look good, feel good, do good,” Nate has been featured on The Weather Channel and USA Today to share his entrepreneurial venture, highlighting how the price tags on his clothing can be turned into wildflowers.

Jessica, Psychology

When deciding where to go to college, it was important to Jessie to find a place where she knew she could find support and call home. While she is on schedule to graduate this spring, the road wasn’t always easy. As a commuter student, she often found herself staying in her car while on campus except to go to classes. Thanks to the Mount’s support systems, Jessie has since blossomed. She has served as an orientation leader, student government senator, and the VP of the commuter club.

Ryan, Nursing

Ryan was wrapping up his very first day of nursing clinical at a local hospital when he heard a loud cry for help in the bathroom of the ER lobby. Without thinking, he rushed to the scene to discover an unresponsive patient with no pulse. With a team of medical professionals, he was immediately brought into the process of resuscitating the patient. When Ryan left for the evening, the patient was in stable condition. When asked about the experience, his first comment... "My arms were tired, but it was a good first day."
