Through proactive initiatives designed to engage first year students with each other and the college, the Mount Aloysius Academic Preparation Program (MAAPP) is the foundation for a successful college experience at Mount Aloysius College. Students take part in a five-day orientation program which includes a one credit course, free of charge. The class and orientation take place a week prior to the start of the fall semester. Students also receive support through student and faculty/staff mentoring in addition to support through one hour weekly guided study sessions throughout their Freshman Year.
The group of 50 students that go through Early Entrance Week with you will become connections that will last a lifetime. MAAPP students have two classes together (one in the fall and spring semesters of the first year) and stay connected through social activities
