Cresson, Pa.—The Mount Aloysius College English and Fine Arts Department and Vox Nova will give their third concert of the 2015-2016 academic year and the first of the spring semester on Wednesday, March 2nd at in the Our Lady of Mercy Chapel at 7:00 p.m.  This concert was previously postponed due to inclement weather.   The public is invited to attend.  There is a $5 charge.

The “Eternal Gift” concert will feature music reflective of the Holy Season of Lent and will be conducted in tandem with recitation of The Stations of the Cross.  In the Christian Traditions, Jesus’ greatest gift to mankind was the sacrifice of His own life.   This concert takes participants on Christ’s own selfless journey from judgment to His death on the cross.

Mrs. Nancy Way, coordinator of Vox Nova said that she selected this type of music because the group she currently leads is able to handle the “lush and close harmonies typically found in this music.”
