Cresson, Pa. — Mount Aloysius College encourages all alumni, families and friends to travel back to the mountain for 2019 Homecoming Weekend. Festivities will begin Friday, Oct. 4 and run through Sunday, Oct. 6.
On Friday, Josh Gallagher, NBC’s The Voice and Nashville recording artist, will play in the ACWC in his hometown. This free concert is open to all community members. Doors open at 7 p.m. You can learn more at the College’s Facebook page.
Homecoming festivities will celebrate the 50th Golden Grad class of 1969. A reception in their honor will begin at 6 p.m. in the Wolf-Kuhn Gallery in the Main Administration Building. Come learn about the new NCAA sport and what Coach Danielle O’Leary has in store for the year at a Lacrosse Clinic starting at 6 p.m. at the Ray and Louise Walker Athletic Complex. The Criminology Department will host an escape room in the ACWC lobby from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
The fun continues on Saturday, Oct. 5. The Physical Therapy Assistant program will offer a PTA CEU session at 8:30 a.m. in the PTA Lab. Next, join the conversation about life beyond the Mount and how we can bring mercy into our everyday lives at Mercy after the Mount in the ACWC at 10 a.m. Join old teammates and other softball alumni in friendly competition with today’s Mountie softball players cheering the graduates on at the Softball Reunion Game also at 10 a.m. The student activities carnival and lunch will begin at 11 a.m. and run until 1:30 p.m. Enjoy the excitement of games, candy and lunch in the ACWC with our Mountie community. Get loud at the men’s and women’s soccer games starting at 1 p.m!
At 2 p.m. in the ACWC, all parents and extended families of current students, and their guests are invited to enjoy a beautiful networking social on campus. Meet and mingle to establish good Mountie parent and Mountie connections that can last forever! Join faculty for a comfortable cup of tea from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Alumni Hall before attending Mass at the chapel at 4 p.m. The day will conclude with a fall beer and wine pairings event starting at 6 p.m. in the ACWC.
Sunday concludes Homecoming weekend. Before leaving campus, stop by the MAC’s Family and Friends International travel opportunity at an info session at 8:30 a.m. in ACWC classroom 213. Enjoy the campus trails and outdoor opportunities surrounding our beautiful campus before swinging by the Mercy Presidential Scholar Reunion Brunch in Alumni Hall at 11 a.m.
