Cresson, Pa. — Mount Aloysius College will host its annual Convocation on Thursday, Sept. 5 in the College’s Athletic Convocation and Wellness Center. This year’s speaker will be Lynn Petzold and she will share her extensive leadership development and team building skills while touching on the benefits of enjoying the great outdoors.

Lynn Petzold is a facilitator and consultant with 30 years of teambuilding and leadership development experience. She has extensive expertise designing, leading and facilitating rich learning opportunities. She is a NOLS senior faculty with 350 field weeks of working backpacking and sea kayaking expeditions in Alaska, Washington, Wyoming, Maine, Mexico, Canada, New Zealand, Chile, Croatia, Norway, and the Bahamas. She teaches leadership, communication, teamwork, and risk management skills for executives, outdoor educators, MBA students, and NASA astronauts among others.

Ms. Petzold also works as a senior account manager for NOLS Custom Education where she designs customized learning experiences for organizations such as NASA,Columbia Business School and Haas Business School as well as various family companies, secondary schools, and universities. In addition, Lynn runs her own leadership consulting business. Lynn appreciates the complexity of human dynamics, the challenge of disconnecting to connect, and the art of creating healthy inclusive culture and communities.

During her time on campus, Ms. Petzold will interact with students in small and large group workshops and tour the outdoor recreation opportunities that surround Mount Aloysius’ Campus.  Ms. Petzold will meet with the sustainability committee, student outdoor recreation club and the Cambria County Recreation Chamber Committee.
