The small class sizes at Mount Aloysius allow students to take trips, like to natural acid mines, to experience what they’ve learned about in the classroom. Students have the opportunity to learn in a living classroom.

Harpreet Heer, a student at Mount Aloysius College, came to Mount Aloysius for these types of opportunities. “Exploring outside of my comfort zone (the biology laboratory) was an inspiring opportunity. I was able to explore the effects microorganisms have on the environment and the amazing ability they have to survive in the most hostile environments. Every microorganism requires a host, in this case the human body was hughes borehole and seeing this correlation proved to be extremely beneficial in developing my understanding of biology. Mount Aloysius College provides students with the opportunity to explore all senses of learning which as an alumni I use immensely in my day to day life outside of college.”
