Cynthia earned her BSN from the Mount and now lives in Largo, Florida and works as a Neurological Intensive Care Unit Nurse at Largo Medical Center. She was a student-athlete while managing being a full-time nursing student. Cynthia made the most of her time at MAC; she gained an international perspective by studying abroad her Junior year in Italy and fine tuned her leadership expertise through her role as an RA and her full-time job at a local hospital.
Cynthia states that it was these lessons, the excellent quality of education, and the accreditation of the Mount Aloysius nursing program that helped create job opportunities for her. She was confident that with her MAC nursing degree and past work experience, she could travel anywhere and qualify for a good position.
MAC not only instilled life skills in Cynthia, but also the importance of service. She attended a service trip to Guyana through MAC in 2016, and she has been inspired to serve abroad ever since. She now travels to Honduras every year with fellow MAC alumni to serve the poor and spread God’s love to those in need.
