Led by Brianna Baker, director of mission & ministry, and Amy Kanich, director of campus ministry, a team of Mounties volunteered to help local elementary and high school students during the statewide shutdown due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“We feel the Mount Aloysius College mission and the values of the Sisters of Mercy can really serve the community,” said Brianna Baker.
“As always, our dedicated students were reaching out to us to find out how they could help even after the campus closed.”
The team of Mounties delivered nearly 1,000 care packages, which included various food items, to students at local schools while maintaining proper social distancing guidelines. The schools’ principals and superintendents organized the pickups for students.
