Your Mountie ID Card…

Now available in Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, & Samsung Wallet!

The Mountie ID is available to all enrolled students and current employees. Tap your iPhone, Apple Watch, Samsung Galaxy, or other eligible Android phones at readers across campus to conveniently use your digital Mountie ID. Your ID acts just like your physical card, and now you can add it to your preferred digital wallet.

Getting Started

Minimal set-up is required to use your Mountie ID. Most users can begin using their ID on their phone in minutes. An approved photo is required and multi-factor authentication must be set up.

Set up your ID

  1. Download the eAccounts mobile app 
  2. Select Mount Aloysius College
  3. Log in with your campus credentials (your full Mount email and password)
  4. When prompted to install Microsoft Authenticator, select “I want to use a different method” and then “Phone” to use your cell phone number
  5. Tap the Settings icon in the top right.
  6. Select “Submit ID Photo”
  7. Upload a profile photo of you in front of a plain background. This can be selfie style.
  8. Upload a photo of your driver’s license (if you have one) taken against a solid background.

You will receive an email from Campus Security once they’ve reviewed your photo submission. Once your photo has been approved:

  1. Open the eAccounts app
  2. Tap “Add to Wallet.” You may need to download Apple, Google, or Samsung Wallet if you do not already have it installed on your phone.
  3. Accept the terms of service.
  4. Test your access by tapping your phone at a door reader (at the main door to your residence hall, for example). You should be able to unlock doors. If you cannot unlock the door to your residence hall, please notify Campus Safety (email: CampusSafety@mtaloy.edu) so that they can double check your permissions.

Name information on the Mountie ID comes to us from the College’s core business systems and needs to be updated there. Students should contact the Registrar’s Office. Faculty and staff should contact HR to request updates. Once changes are completed, the updates will sync to the Mountie ID on your phone within 48 hours.

  • Account balances are currently only displayed on Apple and Samsung Galaxy devices.
  • If your account balances are $0, they will not display until funds are added.
  • If you have available funds that are not displaying, please contact the IT Helpdesk by emailing helpdesk@mtaloy.edu

Return to the location of the sale and ask the store to issue a credit card refund, then process the transaction against your Mountie ID.

As with your physical Mountie ID, your Mobile ID will become inactive when you no longer meet eligibility requirements. If you transfer to another participating program or department at the Mount, your credential will stay active and update accordingly.

To activate and install the multi-factor authentication for your Mountie ID, follow these steps.

  1. Visit this website. (Note: this link will also be available on the IT Helpdesk tab on the Portal page)
  2. If you want to set up two-factor verification using your phone, select “I want to set up a different method.”
  3. Choose “Phone.”
  4. Enter your phone number. This should text you a code to enter on the website.
  5. Click “Done” to proceed to the login portal.
  6. Log in using your campus credentials (first part of your email before the @ and password).

Your physical ID will no longer work for anything on campus.

Yes, your physical Mountie ID will continue to function after you have added your digital ID to your device. Remember, the Mobile ID is a privilege and benefit of being part of the Mount Aloysius College community. Anyone found to be misusing their physical card or Mobile ID will be subject to the applicable Code of Conduct or HR policies regarding fraud and/or misconduct.

Yes, you will need to install the updated version of the Transact eAccounts mobile app.

On your device, visit the App Store or Google Play Store and search Transact eAccounts. The store will prompt you to install any required updates.

Confirm your device is not in Airplane Mode or experiencing any other service interruption. Updates cannot be made when there is no connecting service to sync data between Transact eAccounts and your device. The Transact eAccounts app will display the most current information.

Securing Your Account

  • During regular business hours, contact Campus Safety by emailing CampusSafety@mtaloy.edu, stopping by their office near the Ihmsen Lounge, or calling 814-886-6327 to notify us to deactivate the Mountie ID. Be sure to specify whether the physical card, watch, and/or phone version of the card should be deactivated. Any device not specified to be suspended will remain active.
  • In the Transact eAccounts app:
    • Click the settings gear in the upper right corner.
    • Select the Card Management option.
    • Choose the credential you want to deactivate and toggle it off.
    • You will receive a confirmation email. Only the selected card will be deactivated. All other credentials will remain active.
  • In the Transact eAccounts web version:
    • Select Card Services
    • Select Deactivate Card
    • Select the credential to deactivate and click on “Deactivate Card”
    • You will receive a confirmation email. Only the selected card will be deactivated. All other credentials will remain active.

To reactivate a found device that was suspended, perform the following steps:

In the Transact eAccounts App:

  • Choose the credential you want to reactivate and toggle it on.
  • You will receive a confirmation email. Only the selected card will be reactivated.

In the Transact eAccounts Web Version: 

  • Select Card Services
  • Select Activate Card
  • Select the credential to reactivate
  • You will receive a confirmation email. Only the selected card will be reactivated.
