To honor his late wife’s memory, retired Altoona businessman, Anthony Misciagna, established this scholarship in 2002.

  • Students must be enrolled full-time in a bachelor’s or associate degree program at Mount Aloysius College.
  • Graduates of the Misciagna Challenge Program of the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown will be given first consideration.
  • Other students meeting these criteria, but not graduates of the Misciagna Challenge Program, shall receive secondary consideration.
  • Students shall demonstrate financial need according to the guidelines established by the Mount Aloysius College Financial Aid Office.
  • Maintain a minimum of 2.50 GPA.
  • Must be a member of one student service club each semester throughout the student’s college career and demonstrate involvement in other co-curricular activities at Mount Aloysius College.
  • Beginning with the junior year, students must volunteer at least 15 hours per semester to mentor elementary or secondary school students who are part of the Misciagna Challenge Program.
