Dr. Marian Kirsch graduated from Mount Aloysius Academy and was the first woman from Cambria County to earn a Ph.D. She went on to teach at Mount Aloysius, University of Pittsburgh, and St. Francis College and served as President of the Executive Board of the Alumni Association at Mount Aloysius College for a number of terms. Dr. Kirsch’s husband, Gerald, and their children established the scholarship in her memory.
