This scholarship was established in 1994 in honor of Elsie D. Seymour. Elsie Seymour was born in Ireland and came to America in 1909. She was a member of St. Matthew’s Roman Catholic Church in Tyrone, Pennsylvania, and was a 50-year member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Court of St. Rita, of which she was Grand Regent, District Deputy and State Regent. In 1955, she was honored by Pope Pius with the “Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice” cross for outstanding service to the Church.

Criteria:
  • Must be a commuter.
  • Enrolled in the Business Administration Division.
  • Junior or senior standing.
  • Preference given to students from St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, Tyrone, Pennsylvania or to students from Tyrone area.
