Dr. John A. Farkas, Mount Aloysius College Vice President for Institutional Advancement, established this scholarship in 2021 in memory of his son, John Anthony Farkas, Jr., who loved history, traveled constantly, and who was always ready to connect with people and places around the world.  This scholarship provides financial support for students in their Sophomore year of the History and Political Science Program.

Criteria:

  • Full-time student working toward a degree.
  • Financial need as determined by Financial Aid Office guidelines.
  • Must be a resident student enrolled in Sophomore year of their History & Political Science Program, who has earned an overall grade point average of 2.5 or better.
  • Final Selection authority shall be with the Financial Aid Committee.
