This scholarship was established in 1986 by family and friends in memory of Sister Mary deLourdes Rivers. An Academy graduate, class of 1921, she became an English teacher and librarian serving at Catholic schools in the Altoona-Johnstown Diocese. She became principal of St. Mark’s in Altoona and later Provincial Administrator of the Scranton Province. She served as Superior at Mount Aloysius and was later very active in the Alumni Association, serving as Alumni Director for many years.
