Cresson, Pa. — Mount Aloysius College is an economic engine for Cambria and surrounding counties, generating a total of $69 million in economic activity and supporting more than 642 full-time jobs throughout the state during the 2017-2018 fiscal year. The study by the Hanover Research consultancy also found that Mount Aloysius College is in the top 40 largest employers in Cambria County.
“Every dollar invested in Mount Aloysius pays substantial dividends back to people in this region, specifically the eight counties that surround the college,” Mount Aloysius College President Dr. John W. Mills said. “We are proud that this study has firmly verified what we have been saying for years.”
Mount Aloysius contributions to our state’s economic vitality are significant and widespread, from leading in allied health academic programs to provide an average of 16,000 hours of direct community service hours to our region.
The eight-county region consists of the following counties: Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Centre, Clearfield, Huntingdon, Indiana, Somerset Counties.
