Cresson, Pa. – This May, Mount Aloysius College will have eight students crossing the stage to receive their associate’s degrees before they’ve even graduated from high school. These eight students completed college credits through the Mount’s Associate Degree in High School program, and have earned enough credits to receive their degree while they’re still in high school.
The Associate Degree in High School program allows students in high school to take college-level courses taught directly from their high school teachers as well as online Mount Aloysius courses. Students earn an associate’s degree, which is a minimum of 60 college credits, during their four years of high school.
Students graduating from the Associate Degree in High School program this spring are John Bickford, John Compton, and Kinsey DelBaggio from Bishop Guilfoyle Academy, who are earning their degrees in liberal arts; Morgan Miller and Caden Roberts from Forest Hills High School, earning their degrees in industrial production technology; and Haley Custaneny, Madalinn Mackey, and Riley Robison from Clearfield Area Junior/Senior High School, earning their degrees in liberal arts.
“Through our Associate Degree in High School program, students gain confidence and knowledge, save time and tuition, and step into their futures with a distinct advantage,” said Dr. Cathleen Golden, Associate Dean of Continuing Education & Strategic Partnerships. “This achievement speaks not only to their dedication, but to the strength of the partnerships we’ve built with our regional high schools.”
The eight graduating high school students will cross the stage with the rest of the Mount’s Class of 2026 during the College’s commencement ceremony on May 16, 2026 at 10am. For more information about the Mount’s commencement, visit mtaloy.edu/commencement.
