Cresson, Pa. – Mount Aloysius accounting students Drew Franchok and Brian Walwro were recently awarded academic merit scholarships by the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) for their achievements in the accounting program.

These students were only two of 64 individuals across the state of Pennsylvania to be chosen for this scholarship. Franchok was awarded $3,000 from the PICPA and Walwro received $4,000. In order to be eligible to win these scholarships, they had to be full-time accounting students, completed intermediate accounting, and earned 45 credits with at least a 3.4 GPA.
