Mount Aloysius College students, faculty, and staff, along with members of the surrounding communities, worked together to “Stuff the MAC Shack Mobile Food Truck” with donations for a local food bank this week. Mount students staffed the truck Thursday and Friday while donations rolled in. The project was spearheaded by the College’s Criminology Club, with help from the Psychology Club, Campus Ministry, Student Affairs, and Athletics. The organizing groups shared on their event flyer that the event was “grounded in compassion and justice…responding to a moment of increased need by ensuring access to food for all members of our community.” The groups estimated that more than 10,000 donated food items were received, which will be delivered to the Altoona Food Bank.
