Cresson, Pa. – Mount Aloysius College has announced a partnership with Salus at Drexel University that will allow Mount students to continue their learning in four unique fields. Beginning fall 2024, students who graduate from Mount Aloysius with a degree in biology will have the option to continue on to Salus/Drexel for a Doctor of Optometry (OD), Doctor of Audiology (AuD), or a Master of Science in Orthotics and Prosthetics (MSOP). Mount students who earn a degree in leadership in healthcare have the option of a Master of Science (MS) in Occupational Therapy from Salus/Drexel.

This partnership will allow students to obtain degrees in specialized fields that may not be as readily available in the area. Giving Mount Aloysius students the opportunity to pursue these degrees will not only lead to future career opportunities, but also address the growing demand for skilled medical professionals in Pennsylvania and across the country.

“These partnerships with Salus University will meet the needs of our local healthcare systems,” said Dr. Chris Lovett, Academic Dean for the School of Nursing & Health Studies. “We are thankful that Salus was open to establishing these unique and competitive programs that comprehensively impact our students and community.”
